Which TYPE OF RUM GOES IN A PIÑA COLADA?

For a classic Piña Colada, BACARDÍ Superior is perfect, offering a refreshing quality that brightens the cocktail. BACARDÍ Gold adds toasted caramel warmth for a richer flavor, while BACARDÍ Spiced introduces subtle spices that pair beautifully with pineapple, creating depth and richness.

Shake Hard for Fluffiness!

The secret to achieving a light, airy texture in your Piña Colada is a good hard shake. By shaking the pineapple juice vigorously, you’re incorporating air into the mix, creating a wonderfully fluffy and smooth finish.

Pineapple Chunks OR Pineapple Juice?

Fresh pineapple chunks are essential for balancing the Piña Colada. Their natural acidity cuts through the sweetness, adding brightness and depth, while also bringing vibrant texture to the drink. Pineapple juice, on the other hand, enhances the cocktail’s length and sweetness. When shaken, it contributes a beautifully fluffy texture, making each sip feel light and luxurious.

Use the whole fruit!

For a truly tropical presentation, serve your Piña Colada in a hollowed-out pineapple or coconut. A coconut adds a unique island-inspired charm, while using a pineapple doubles as both a vessel and a delightful nod to the drink’s star ingredient.
